About the Fly Fishing Prints

Bern Sundell's fly fishing giclee prints on canvas are extremely popular with anglers because of the beauty and skill of the original paintings. The artist has been fly fishing and painting since he was nine years old so he truly knows both trout and paint.

He loves to portray various facets of the complete fly fishing experience, which he sometimes combines in collage style paintings.

Other paintings explore a particular moment in time with leaping rainbow trout or brown trout taking a fly, or any number of other moments that make fishing such a pleasure.

With a twinkle in his eye Bern says he must do a great deal of research. He made a portable aquarium he carries in his boat so particularly interesting fish are placed in the tank for quick reference photography before their release.
